I still don't see why most people see Winter as a dark, cold hole that sucks you in for months. It's just a season. Sure, everyone hates the cold, ice, and can you believe some actually hate snow?! The snow's nearly gone here, and I feel a need for change. That's what seasons are all about, right?
That's why I love John Denver's "Season Suite" songs. The Winter one is in a happy melody, but mentioning the season trying to get you down. The Spring one is written as if the rebirth of the earth is a miracle, the Summer's one is all about the cold and gray leaving and the summer sun coming to stay, and the Autumn is just plain mourning.
I love the life around me
I feel apart of everything I see
I love the life within me
Apart of everything is here in me!
Do you care what's happening around you?
Do your senses know the changes when they come?
Can you see yourself reflected in the season?
Can you understand the need to carry on?
:)
I feel apart of everything I see
I love the life within me
Apart of everything is here in me!
Do you care what's happening around you?
Do your senses know the changes when they come?
Can you see yourself reflected in the season?
Can you understand the need to carry on?
:)
